Quick Update on Trail Conditions
Just a quick update on the trail. As we all know we have had plenty of rain. Eildon is Full and looking magnificent. I rode over on it on Monday and there was no wind and it looked like a mirror. The trail surface being granitic sand is soft in some areas making the going a little slower. Allow for a little extra time in these areas. Once the sum comes out it will dry and firm up quite quickly. Look forward to seeing you out their. 2/8/12

The Tour De France is Over

For those who haven’t joined up yet, get on board membership starts from $77 it’s a great way to show your support. Check out their back stage pass U tube clips they make great viewing.

The weather is now fining up so it’s a good time to plan your trip. If you are in Melbourne and have a group and don’t want to drive, give us a call and arrange a pick up. We also have pickups available from Lilydale train station.

Official Opening a Great day
The trail is now officially open for business. The Hon Mr Simon Crean MP official opened the trail on Friday the 1st June. It was attended by over 100 people with many people riding the trail  and stopping for the festivities.

Opening on Track
With 11 days till the official opening of Victoria’s New and Longest Rail Trail, all is on track. The Goulburn River High Country Rail Trail is proving to be very popular. With such diverse scenery, it is a pleasure to ride all or just some of the trail. The trail is getting plenty of use. I managed to get in a short ride yesterday for an hour and passed no less than 12 other riders. It was a magic day up here for a ride.

Working on New Rides
Over the next few weeks, I will be working on a few new short rides that take in some of the surrounding area. These will be a couple a short loops that can be joined together if you want to extend your ride.

There are so many great rides in the area; I hope to be able to share them as time goes on.

Look forward to seeing you on the trail.
